Blackbird Technologies settles with Moovit, Inc.

On November 13, 2017, Blackbird Technologies filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Moovit, Inc. in the US District Court for the District of Delaware (17-cv-01642), concerning technology relating to recommending travel routes to a destination based on vehicle traffic conditions. The patent at issue is US Patent No. 9,400,190, entitled “Real-time traffic condition measurement using network transmission data.” Last month, Blackbird Technologies settled with Moovit.

Wendy Verlander, President and CEO of Blackbird Technologies, stated, “The vehicle mapping technology described in this patent is now a ubiquitous and essential part of our everyday lives. It is extremely gratifying to be able to help the inventor of such far-reaching technology see a reward for all of his hard work.”
